Who We Are
Based in the Greater Vancouver area of British Columbia, Canada, we are a team of technology and business professionals dedicated to developing and manufacturing reliable high performing USB and video extension solutions for the past 15 years. Icron and ExtremeUSB® are registered trademarks of SyncBridge Technologies Corporation.

What We Do
Our next generation USB-C products with ExtremeUSB technology extend USB 3-2-1 and 4K video signals reliably well beyond standard cable distance limitations. Our two-piece solution consists of a Local Extender (LEX) that connects to a Host and a Remote Extender (REX) that connects to USB and/or video devices. The LEX and REX are then connected by a single standard CAT 5e or fiber cable to provide the required distance up to 100m. ExtremeUSB plug and play connectivity is compatible with any operating system, making our solutions ideal for ProAV, Broadcasting, Industrial and Medical applications or any other set-up that requires reliable USB 3-2-1 or 4K video extension over a single cable.
Our first product, the Icron USB 3-2-1 Raven 3301 is shipping now through distribution while the DP 4K Video + USB 3-2-1 Arbutus 63301 extender system will be available soon. We also will have options available for private label, PCBA and the BlackBird ASIC chipset in the very near future!

Cisco Room Bar Deployment Compatibility
SyncBridge has identified a potential display compatibility issue affecting certain BYOD/BYOM deployments using Icron Arbutus 63301 extenders with select Cisco Room Bar products. In affected configurations, the display may intermittently flicker when the Arbutus REX is connected directly to the Cisco device’s USB-C port. While we continue to investigate a permanent resolution, we recommend the following workaround:
- Upgrade applicable Arbutus LEX and REX units to newly released firmware version 3.2.0.
- Use an external dock to connect the Arbutus REX to the Cisco device via its HDMI input for video.
We have validated this workaround using the UGREEN 15534 dock. For information on obtaining the firmware and dock, please contact us at info@icron.com.
Please note that, while this solution significantly improves performance, customers may still experience up to three connection/disconnection events before video becomes operational after connecting the host. We appreciate your patience and support as we continue our investigation.
