ExtremeUSB® Extension Technology Showcase at InfoComm 2015

ExtremeUSB® extension solutions from Icron Technologies (booth #4184) and Icron’s partners on display from June 17th to 19th at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida

Burnaby, British Columbia – June 16, 2015 – Icron Technologies Corporation, a leader in USB and video extension technology, will be demonstrating four ExtremeUSB® extension solutions at InfoComm 2015 in Orlando, Florida from June 17th to 19th.

On Demonstration:

  • USB over LAN with SwitchableUSB™ – Upgrade an OEM video matrix switch into a fully compatible USB 2.0 KVM network switch by using SwitchableUSB to dynamically switch among local and remote USB extender pairings over a Local Area Network;
  • Device Class Filtering – Block specific USB peripheral types (such as mass storage devices) from an extension system to prevent data theft or ensure system integrity;
  • Simultaneous User Interaction – Work collaboratively onscreen with up to four different users in four different locations by connecting several HID devices to the same host over LAN;
  • USB 3.0 camera extension – High quality industrial vision cameras extended 15 meters over an active copper cable and 100 meters over multimode fiber with Icron’s Spectra extenders featuring AIA USB3 Vision™ locking connectors.

All four demonstrations include the ExtremeUSB suite of features such as transparent USB extension, true plug and play (no software drivers required) and compatibility with Windows®, Linux® and OS X® operating systems.
